![]() | Jenny Dodson received her Bachelor of Arts from The University of Houston where she was a member of the UH Dance Ensemble. She was presented the University of Houston award for excellence in choreography and her work was showcased at the American College Dance Festival. After graduation, Jenny had the opportunity to study dance abroad in London and has since worked with many talented dance companies and choreographers in the Houston area, including Suchu Dance Company, Psophonia Dance Company, with Karen Stokes in Travesty Dance Group, Becky Valls, Leslie Scates and Sara Draper. Jenny has worked with Toni Valle since 2006, where she has been featured in CRACKED, tetris and and last year with the premiere of 6' in Baptism. |
![]() | Stephanie J Henderson received her Bachelor of Science in Fitness and Human Performance from The University of Houston at Clear Lake in 2000 and has been dancing for more than 25 years. She has been teaching all levels of ballet, tap, and jazz at the Bonnie Siscoe School of dance for many years. Stephanie danced with the Houston Metropolitan Dance Company from 2000-2002 as an apprentice, where she studied under various choreographers such as Dorrell Martin, Kevin Wynn, Patti Obey, Liz Imperio, Randy Duncan, and Max Stone. She has performed at Weekend of Texas Contemporary Dance in Houston, performed with Exclamation Dance Company from 2003-2005 under the direction of Kenneth Epting, where she also became Managing Director. Stephanie performed at the “Selena Vive” concert in Houston in April 2005 for a live, televised, worldwide audience. She performed under the direction of Becky Valls in Memoirs of a Sisterhood Chapter One at Diverse Works in Houston and New Orleans, and in October 2009 in Chapter Two: House at Barnevelder. Stephanie, and her daughter Sonia, are performing together in May for choreographer Toni Valle in Cocoon. Stephanie currently teaches dance technique classes at San Jacinto College South. She married her dance partner, Thomas, in October of 2010 and is expecting their 1st child in September. Stephanie loves to share her passion of dance with her daughter and all of her students. |
![]() | Cecilia Sotomayor is a freshman and dance major at the High School for Performing and Visual Arts. She also trains and performs with a competitive dance company at Precision Dance Academy. Cecilia excels not only at dance, but also in her academics. When she is not dancing or studying, she enjoys spending time with friends and family. This is Cecilia’s first performance with a professional dance company. |
![]() | Joani Trevino has studied dance at San Jacinto College-South, Texas Woman's University and University of Houston. Currently, Joani is a member of the dance companies Vault and 6' and is a performer with Young Audiences of Houston. She also teaches dance to children at a local dance studio and works as a Biology professor at San Jacinto College-South. |
