6 Degrees at the Houston Women's March On
6 Degrees has been the annual featured dance company at the Houston Women's March On rallies since 2019. In 2021, 6 Degrees was slated to perform at 6 locations in downtown Houston during the march, but due to growing concerns of COVID and the January 6, 2021 insurrection, the march was moved online. Toni Leago Valle filmed and edited the performances, which were featured at the Houston Women's March On virtual event on January 23, 2021. The virtual event was publicized nationwide to Women's March sister cities, with an audience reach from Chicago to Mexico.
The first video, "Making HERstory," has also been featured at the annual ROADwomen virtual fundraiser 2021.
The Houston Women March On videos were made possible in part by a Dance Source Houston Groundwork Grant for 2021.
